It's been nearly a month since we posted any grants opportunities up here on the old blog.  Maybe it's been a lack of energy opportunities lately or maybe it's been extra busy around OED lately.  Enough with the excuses and on with the news though --

About a week ago, the U.S. Department of Energy announced the America's Next Top Energy Innovator Challenge.  This gives start-ups the opportunity to license technologies developed by the National Laboratories for $1,000.  There are currently 15,000 some unlicensed patents available.

This program will run May 2nd through December 15th of this year.  If you're interested or know of someone who may be, check out the press release.
