Looking for a grant opportunity? If I can, let me pass along some helpful advice.
When our office announces a new grant opportunity, we're looking for prepared grant applicants. We like to see well thought-out applications. Did you follow our grant guidelines? Did you choose allowable technologies? Even more important, did the technologies you chose make sense for your organization or community? And, your application looks even better if you have an energy strategy in place or one in the works.
Recently, the ACEEE (American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy) announced its Local Technical Assistance Toolkit. The toolkit isn't a grant opportunity of course, but it's similar to the solar energy resources we posted awhile back. Make the best out of these resources. Maybe these resources don't provide the exact answer or info you're looking for, but maybe it'll get you thinking. Maybe the information will be helpful in developing an energy strategy, and down the road, developing a solid grant application.
