Town of Brownsburg visit

When it comes to a wastewater treatment plant, cleanliness and efficiency doesn't usually come straight to mind.  One of our grant recipients, the Town of Brownsburg, is actively working toward this goal by using funds received from OED's Energy Efficiency for Wastewater Treatment Facilities program (EEWT).

Partially funded by a $72,235 EEWT grant, the town purchased new premium efficiency motors.  These new motors replaced outdated motors, including a 22-year old, 100 horsepower high service pump, and four 25-year old, 50 horsepower electrical motors.  These upgrades will have a positive and lasting effect on the environment, will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and will help Brownsburg save some taxpayer dollars.

Thanks to all the Brownsburg employees for allowing us to visit.  We look forward to hearing more great things about the work you're doing over there!

The Town of Brownsburg received an EEWT grant from the Indiana Office of Energy Development.  This program is funded through the U.S. Department of Energy's State Energy Program (SEP).
